About Creekside Dental
Creekside Dental, a family dentistry in Knoxville, TN, was founded in January 2005 by Dr. Kent T. Melbourne, DDS, MBA. Dr. Melbourne is a graduate of Meharry School of Dentistry in Nashville, Tennessee, and post graduate studies in General Dentistry at Columbia University-Harlem Hospital in New York, New York. He has completed 3 years of residency with the last 2 years of training provided by Board Certified Instructors. During his tenure at Columbia he was recognized as Surgeon of the Year in 1995-1996 and received the Bernard Levy Award in 1997. He has been a member of the surgical staff at East Tennessee Children's Hospital for more than 9 years and continues to provide complete restorative services on an outpatient basis.
Our office offers dental services for individuals of all ages, and in particular the anxious and/or unmanageable child, as well as patients who are medically compromised. It is the practitioner's belief that a visit to the dentist should be a pleasant experience and the patient should not be traumatized by the need for dental treatment. It is further the practitioner's goal to educate the patient about their dentition and assist them in any manner possible to becoming receptive to "Good Oral Hygiene" while providing quality patient care.
